Apparently out of hiding from their fans, Kadokawa have once again braved the pages of Newtype for an interview. Why yes, they do have plans for more Haruhi and wow do they wish they could tell you what it is. They really do… they’re just DYING to tell you what it is! They just aren’t going to yet. Kadokawa has promised that the next issue of Newtype will be providing a major announcement on Haruhi. “Something is going to happen! Look forward to it!”

Some fans are speculating that the “major” announcement is going to be the long awaited full second season or better. I’m not entirely sure it’s going to be a full second season announcement but I guess we’ll all see when the magazine hits stands on August 17^th (or whenever the news is leaked). But see? Kadokawa totally has news that they want to share but damn it all, their hands are all tied. They’re heartbroken over it I’m sure.
