Now, I have to admit that yes it’s been a pretty slow weekend but I’m really surprised more people haven’t been talking about this. Funimation announced on their blog and at Nekocon this weekend the full dub cast for the upcoming release of Linebarrels of Iron:

Lots of familiar names are making up the cast though this is the first starring role for Alexis Tipton who has her name listed on her MySpace profile as Lex chan. For some reason I find this kind of cute.

The series itself premiered last fall and became available on Crunchyroll soon afterwards (incidentally, you can still see the entire series there subtitled). Funimation announced the license to the series (along with Strike Witches) back in April as part of their Gonzo package and now we’re now getting a dubbed box set. I never got around to checking out this series but I might watch a few early episodes to give myself a head start before its release. The first box set hits store shelves January 19^th and is available for pre-order from Right Stuf and Amazon.
