While a fun game to play, Cosplay Fetish Academy suffers from a few moments that just get me. They aren’t bad moments, just moments in the course of the story that I can’t let go but can’t talk about in my main review because of spoilers. Thus is ‘Additional Thoughts: Cosplay Fetish Academy’:

Ryouji:

While normally I wouldn’t bother starting with the hero of the story, Ryouji is a very special case. In the main body of the game, Ryouji is a pretty textbook example of main character syndrome. Utterly oblivious to the beautiful girls around him, he goes through the game just having fun and occasionally causing problems. Once he gets a girlfriend however, Ryouji loses any sense of what was once a spine. The very first path that I followed was for Shana. Quickly I realized that Ryouji is the type of guy who will do absolutely anything asked of him if he even thinks that he might get some sex out of it. At first I thought it was just Shana since she is that type of character (oh we’ll get to her in just a bit) but just about every other path is the same. With the exception of Kotori, Ryouji will spend every single path of this game getting walked on every time he thinks that he’ll get laid. What a guy.

Story

Living with his two hot, twin female cousins while going to high school, Ryouji’s life isn’t terribly complicated. That all is about to change though. When he and his cousin Shana go to visit Yuuki at the shrine where she works, a strange storm brews above them and strikes them with lightning. Well, more accurately it only strikes Ryouji but the effects are still felt on all of them. Don’t ask why, it’s not important. After leaving the shrine, the three of them find out something amazing: the lightning has transported them to a new world where everything is exactly the same except for all the women wear nothing but revealing outfits and cosplay.    Again, don’t ask why.

Making the best of their new home, the three of them go about their daily high school lives which includes getting ready for the cultural festival and eventually falling in love. So who is Ryouji going to end up with? The serious, studious Yuuki, the wild airhead Shana, the shy glasses wearing Kotori or the young but still sexy homeroom teacher Maika?

I’m instituting what I’m calling the ‘Eroge Rules’; if I’m writing about a dating sim, eroge, hentai, etc in a post you should probably assume that most if not all of the links are going to be NSFW.

In a mailer sent out over the weekend, JASTUSA has announced that their latest eroge , Cosplay Fetish Academy, has begun shipping. Released under the G-Collections label, the game was originally released by Sekilala who also created Come See Me Tonight and another upcoming title from JASTUSA, Cat Girl Alliance. Cosplay Fetish Academy is available at J-List while Right Stuf has it available for pre-order.

In their latest mailer, JASTUSA has announced that their upcoming release ‘Cosplay Fetish Academy‘ (Chakuse Kae Fetish) has officially gone golden master and will be entering the replicating phase soon. Usually when a game gets hit with the ‘Golden Master’ status it means that the game is mere weeks away from seeing a release which is cause for fans to get excited. The latest game to be released under the G-Collections label, ‘Cosplay Fetish Academy’ comes from Sekilala who also created the ‘Come See Me Tonight‘ series with artwork done by Kazuma Muramasa (Lightning Warrior Raidy) and is already available for pre-order from Right Stuf or J-List (NSFW).

This will just be a quick update but JAST USA has opened the official English language website (NSFW!) for their upcoming game ‘Cosplay Fetish Academy‘ (Chakuse Fae Fetish). The upcoming eroge originally released by Sekilala in 2005 features a hero who after being caught in an odd storm finds himself in a world where sexy cosplay in the norm. Nurses, Bunnies and Cat Girls – oh my! (No angry comments about that last line, I’m not too proud of it myself). The game is scheduled to be released before the end of the season on the G-Collections label and is already available for pre-order via Right Stuf and J-List (NSFW).

In their latest mailer, eroge distributor JASTUSA announced a change in plans making ‘Cosplay Fetish Academy’ (Chakuse Kae Fetish!) as their next release due to faster than expected translations. This marks a change from the previous plans which had the next eroge to be shipped as ‘Family Project – Kazoku Keikaku’. In ‘Cosplay Fetish Academy‘, players take on the character of Ryouji who is thrust into a world filled with beautiful women in cosplay as he attempts to figure out what happened. Originally released in 2005 by Japanese developer Sekilala (Come See Me Tonight series, Cat Girl Alliance) the game will be released before the end of the year on the G-Collections label. Both ‘Cosplay Fetish Academy’ (NSFW pre-order link) and ‘Family Project – Kazoku Keikaku’ (NSFW pre-order link) are available for pre-order through J-List.
