I’m not much of a figure collector. I’ve started to slowly gather a couple here and there but it’s nothing impressive. I do envy those who are able to spend that much time and money on decorating their desks/living space with all sorts of cute figmas. This though… who amongst you wants to be the one who says that they spent over $3,000 on the Gundam in the corner?

Starting tomorrow, the Premium Bandai Shop will be offering special custom Gumdam figure which will cost $3,400! Why does it cost so much? Because this particular model stands an impressive 5’ tall and weighs 77 lbs! The model itself is a 1/12 scale RX-78-2 model that comes complete with a beam rifle, shield and beam saber. Unfortunately, I’m not aware of the store offering overseas shipping so if you’re going to pick one of these up you might have to use a proxy or travel to Japan to collect it and bring it home.

But hey, if you’re spending that much money to order a 5’ tall mech and pick it up you might as well make it a truly mech experience and visit the life size Evangelion bust being opened in the Fuji-Q Highland amusement park while you’re at it.
