I admit it, I’m one of the few who watched Angel Beats and failed to see what was so amazing about it (which I know, I’m in the minority here). There were just a lot of little things that bugged me but even I admit that there was one thing that I did enjoy: the music. Inside the anime is a band called Girls Dead Monster that just had an incredibly catchy pop rock sound. It doesn’t hurt that the moments that the band is on screen are arguably some of the best looking of the series.

Apparently I’m not alone in enjoying them because after two singles, the band will be getting a full album called Keep the Beats on June 30th and a third single, Little Braver, to be released on June 9th. I couldn’t find any information regarding how many tracks the full album will have but  all of the songs are being written by Jun Maeda. You’ll recognize him as the one responsible for most of Angel Beats (writing, music, composition, story).

The first single from Girls Dead Monster, Crow Song, debuted at #7 on the Oricon weekly chart.
